The most common reptile is the Moorish gecko (Tarentola mauritanica)
which can frequently be seen sunning itself or hiding between the cracks
of dry-stone walls.
The successful programme to reintroduce the Moorish turtle (Testudo
hermanni) in the Park deserves a mention.
The predominant vegetation in the Park, set in a semi-arid enclave,
is wild olive maquia accompanied by Alleppo pine stands and Phoenician
juniper in the areas closest to the coast. Dunes, rock formations and
ponds are other habitats of interest.
